Dokument JAR (2025). Jaro přichází a s prvním slunečním paprskem začíná závod s časem. Zvířata napříč fjordy, lesy, horami i tundrou opouštějí svá zimní útočiště, aby využila krátkého léta. Medvědice hlídají neposedná mláďata, papuchalkové se znovu setkávají ve věrných párech na nebezpečných útesech, lední medvědice zoufale hledá potravu a los se střetává s vlky v tichém sněhu. Polární lišky vychovávají mláďata a přežívají v mrazech díky zbytkům, které jiná zvířata nedokážou sníst. Ale čas běží a zima se rychle vrací. V tomto závodu s chladem přežijí jen ti nejodolnější.
As the first light of spring touches snow-covered landscapes, the race begins. Across fjords, forests, mountains and tundra, animals emerge from hiding to take advantage of summer’s fleeting generosity. But the clock is ticking, and winter is never far away. Brown bear mothers supervise their wayward cubs; puffins reunite in lifelong pairs atop perilous ledges; a polar bear mother searches for food in a land where the ice has receded and her usual prey has vanished. As summer fades, the mighty moose faces wolves in the silent snow. Arctic foxes raise their young and scavenge in brutal temperatures, surviving on scraps others cannot digest. Each species is tied to the land and to each other in a delicate web of survival. In this race against the cold, only the most remarkable endure.
