Mozart on Tour – Episode 4, 5 & 6

The 13-part Mozart on Tour series chronicles the journey of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart across Europe. This broadcast features episode no. 4, 5, and 6, taking us to Mannheim, Schwetzingen, and Paris. In the fourth episode, Gianluigi Gelmetti leads the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart in a performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 6, KV 238, featuring Christian Zacharias as the solist. In the fifth episode, both Gelmetti and Zacharias return for a performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 8, KV 246. The sixth episode features Mitsuko Uchida as the soloist in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9, KV 271. Uchida is accompanied by the Mozarteum Orchestra under the baton of Jeffrey Tate. (167 min)
